Food Safety Assessment
FSA (Food Safety Assessment) is an audit platform that is utilised to standardise a food safety system to encompass not only good practice, but also the laws and guidelines of South Africa and other countries. We have full accreditation through Intertek who audit us annually. The audit is comprised of a number of guidelines and standards including:
• SANS 10049 requirements for prerequisite programmes (PRPs)
• ISO/TS 22002 prerequisite programmes on food safety
• Codex Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles
• Food Safety Management System requirements as guided by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)
• Applicable laws, regulations and compulsory specifications
